The What

FreeFilms is purely a repository for all of the films that are available on the 92-ish channels on Freeview today. Sure, you can go to the TV guide or scroll through the programme guide on your television, but then you have to do all the filtering for yourself. This was borne of pure laziness: just tell me what films are on TV today.

The Why

There used to be a couple of really great sites that would tell you what films were available on Freeview, but they all seem to have fallen by the wayside and are no longer working. And I understand why: getting the available programming for Freeview channels in the UK is, surprisingly, bonkers-difficult. But it was purely because these other services seem to have been abandoned that I felt there was sufficient need for one.
